"We started off fostering sunshine, who was fresh out of rehab. She was really anxious, and us having had no experience owning a dog before made the situation very apprehensive for all parties. We decided to give it a try anyway and told ourselves to take it really slow and careful with her. What we expected as a temporary arrangement turned out to be a permanent one when we decided to adopt sunshine! We witnessed her coming out of her shell, being more curious and confident with each passing day. It feels sad to think about the hard days she has gone through to feel so unsure around humans/ different stimuli and we are glad to be able to offer her a safe, stable home for the rest of her good years."
